چکیده
Three natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES; choline chloride (CC): lactic acid (LA), CC: oxalic (OA), urea (U)) in the ratio 1:2 were tested as a pretreatment of apple pomace prior to hot water extraction pectin. The duration and temperature (for 0.5–2h, at 40–80 °C) was adjusted limit cell wall polysaccharides losses degradation. Extraction yields sugar composition used evaluate impact on pectin molecular weight degree esterification characterized. Results showed that CC:LA CC:U pretreatments led close overall recovery with control using instead NADES. Instead, CC:OA degradation loss. monosaccharides affected after 60 °C above, while it preserved by 40 for 1h. Moreover, facilitated large amount (33.1%–56.1% uronic recovery) high Mw HM comparable obtained through classical method. saponification introducing choline. Application of natural deep eutectic solvents for extraction of
Natural deep eutectic solvents (NADESs) considered as “green” solvents offer an efficient, safe, sustainable, and cost effective method alternative to conventional extraction while microwave assisted extraction (MAE) is a convenient, rapid, environmental friendly and efficient technique. The combination of NADESs with MAE was applied in this study for the recovery of phenolic compounds from oli...
متن کاملNatural deep eutectic solvents as a new extraction media for phenolic metabolites in Carthamus tinctorius L.
Developing green solvents with low toxicity and cost is an important issue for the biochemical industry. Synthetic ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents have received considerable attention due to their negligible volatility at room temperature, high solubilization ability, and tunable selectivity. However, the potential toxicity of the synthetic ionic liquids and the solid state at room tem...

Pectin extracted from the apple pomace was evaluated for the in vitro inhibition of pancreatic lipase (steapsin). Pectin was extracted from two different varieties of apples, i.e., Malus pumila and Spondias dulcis using two extractants, i.e., hydrochloric acid and citric acid (CA), separately at pH 2.5. متن کاملNatural deep eutectic solvents: cytotoxic profile
The purpose of this study was to investigate the cytotoxic profiles of different ternary natural deep eutectic solvents (NADESs) containing water. For this purpose, five different NADESs were prepared using choline chloride as a salt, alongside five hydrogen bond donors (HBD) namely glucose, fructose, sucrose, glycerol, and malonic acid. Water was added as a tertiary component during the eutect...
متن کاملDeep Eutectic Solvents pretreatment of agro-industrial food waste
Background Waste biomass from agro-food industries are a reliable and readily exploitable resource. From the circular economy point of view, direct residues from these industries exploited for production of fuel/chemicals is a winning issue, because it reduces the environmental/cost impact and improves the eco-sustainability of productions. Results The present paper reports recent results of ...
